Are quantity discounts available for DeedCAD and for support contracts?
Yes! DeedCAD 1.5.0's retail price is $1149.00 if purchased in quantities of 1-2. Quantities of 3 - 5 are $1034 per copy price (10% discount) and quantities of 6 or more are $919 per copy (20% off). These prices refer to buying directly from LandSoft Inc. and may not reflect the pricing of our reseller partners.

For support contracts, Quantities of 1-2 are $99 each. Quantities of 3-5 are $90 each. Quantities of 6 or more are $80 each.

Can DeedCAD use a scanner?
Yes, DeedCAD v1.5.0 supports this functionality. You can scan in deeds directly from your scanner and then perform high quality Optical-Character-Recognition on the image, all without ever leaving the software!

Does DeedCAD support the township system?
Yes! DeedCAD v1.5.0 supports unplaced township deeds. This means that you can generate just about any township deed but only the actual parcel will be drawn (it is actually converted automatically into metes and bounds). Future versions will have support for placing multiple township deeds into the same township/range if there is demand for this functionality.

What file formats does DeedCAD support for input?
DeedCAD currently includes support for Targa, TIFF, PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF, and Adobe PDF files. If you have a format that you use that is not listed, please contact us by clicking on the Contact Us link above and let us know, it is possible we support that format but it is just not listed in our Open dialog boxes. If that is the case, we will include your format in the next product update.

What is included with the standard support?
When you purchase DeedCAD you will receive 6 months of "upgrade protection". This means that if we release a new version during that 6-month window after your purchase, you will receive the new version absolutely free. New versions refer to major upgrades, such as v1.5 or v2.0.

With your purchase we also include standard support for 1-year which includes bug fix patches and regular ticket support on our website.

What OCR engine is DeedCAD using?
DeedCAD is using the industry-leading OmniPage OCR engine. As long as your Deed image or PDF file is not skewed, heavily smudged or water-damaged, accuracy is extremely good. If a human can easily read the Deed, our OCR functionality can as well.

What type of rendering system is being used on the layout page?
DeedCAD is using a fully DirectX 9.0c rendering system on the layout page now instead of GDI+. That this means is that depth of layers is better supported, flickering is completely eliminated and performance is much better. Moving to DirectX also allowed us to resolve many of the issues with rotation and scaling. DirectX support also means features such as 3-D parcel views can be added later.

Why should I buy premium support?
Premium support contracts last for 1 year and are very economical for the increased level of support they provide. With premium support your support tickets will receive a response in 24 hours or less, guaranteed! Also, you may request up to 3 phone callbacks per month, per support contract you purchase. You can request a call back time from 8 AM till 12 AM EST! One of our actual programmers will call you, so you know you are talking to someone who understands the software and can resolve your problem or include a fix for your issue in the next patch! Next, premium support users get access to the beta development builds. These are builds that will include new functionality and let you get early access to features that will show up in the next version of the software. Finally, premium support users can submit problem deeds to the programmers via e-mail to have them tweaked or a patch included to fix the problems found in that particular deed!

Note: Beta builds will have expiration dates and are not guaranteed to be as stable as our released software. They should be useable in a production environment, but we encourage you to keep your release version installed alongside in case you run into a problem.
